** A realistic Frenchman, Author Géraldy lectures on what most Anglo-Saxons would call profane love. But he titillates no libidinous itch in this little monograph of precepts with theory but no rules of thumb adding bewilderment by one or another of these Gallic apothegms. For example: "I love you" should never sound like a call for help. . . . and "don't bother to tell me that you insist on being loved for what you are".
Very nice!!
