My old Victorian (?) lamps

These two lamps have been in my garage forever and I know nothing about them ... hence, I'm on this site to find out what I can about them.

They are approximately 5' tall, made of wood that has been painted and gilded. I have never seen old electrical light fixtures like these, which leads me to believe they're old.

Any information I can get will be greatly appreciated.
