Pair of Art Deco, Pierrot porcelain bookends. Each figure is holding a mandolin. In wonderful condition. No chips, cracks or crazing. They were bought in an antique fair, near to my home here in Poitou Charentes. They are very attractive and the colours are sharp. There is a mark on the bottom of each, which I believe is a conjoined JK. They were very dirty when I bought them and I have gently cleaned them to reveal their beauty. I believe they are from the 1920's but could be earlier.
    They measure 5.25" length x 6" height x 4" diameter
    988 gram or 2lb 3oz
Not sure if they are French or German and don't recognize the JK mark.
