This book was given to me by my grandmother before she passed away. She had it since she was young but no one in my family can read it to learn more about it. If anyone knows what the title even is or if it is a collectible or valuable book please let me know. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

      Dear Heidi,
the title of the book is "Eine fromme Luege" which would translate to something like "A pious Lie", the book itself was Copyrighted and Printed in 1928 by the Friedrich Rothbarth publishing firm. The author is Hedwig Courths Mahler: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hedwig_Courths-Mahler

The monetary value of the book might be low due to the fact that this book is not that old and was printed in industrial manners, anyhow the idealistic value of the book could be much higher as it is one of the dear memories and the book seemed to be of importance to your grandmother as she kept the book that long.

Thank you so much for the information. I will have to look into seeing if I can get it translated so I can read it. It must have had some meaning to her as there was writing in it also or a signature??? I am not sure & her name was Hedwig also :)
I do have another older hand writing book from the 1800's that is German as well I may post it to get more info on that one as well. Thanks again.
