a picker friend brought this beautiful glass piece to me the other day. it had come unglued from the stand, so they had thrown it away. i think that it's the most beautiful glass and such a great little birdbath for a tiny yard [or a tiny corner of a large yard]. i really love it! i don't know anything about it though and have never seen anything like it.

Ho2, I tried that site & it required me to go on facebook! I went thru hell to get un-subscribed from the CIA-Big Brother crap! I don't want my sugar birds being bothered by the Amer. Gestapo. They might get sent to Gitmo!

That's a pretty swanky bird bath :) birds here only have a terracotta bowl but have a great time washing and splashing LOL

Ho2, I don't want to get near fb anymore. Don't need the CIA knowing my pets name! I love my sugar birds & watching them. I call them birds of prey. (They prey on my wallet & sense of humour). Over 40 & they hang on my screen etc. when their bowl is empty. Truly stupid "bird-brains", but I enjoy them. LOL!!

what kind of birds do you have blunder?
    12. blunderbuss2 blunderbuss2, 9 years ago
What part of sugar bird do you not understand ho2? Also, loads of dove, frigatebird, keli-keli hawks, sparrows, seagulls, heron, pelicans, etc., etc., etc.. All those bloody tropical island things and maybe a few mutants. After a good hurricane, you won't see any birds for months & don't know where the new stock comes from. My sugar birds go thru 1/2 kg of sugar a day!

i only know of two species that are actually called sugarbirds - one in south africa and the other in australia - and they are both incredibly beautiful birds, but i haven't heard of them in captivity.

Mine sure aren't in captivity! Must be 50 that I feed!
