When I found this beautiful translucent applejuice-color bangle I immediately thought it was bakelite: it has the same feeling, it looks the same, it has the same weight ( its quite heavy for its size) but alas, it didn t pass the simichrome test.
It couldn t be lucite, because of its weight, and after some comments here on cw we found out is galalith.
Its tranclucent with some 'clouds' in it, applejuice color, and really pretty!
It misses some rhinestones, but I think I might have some spare ones that fit.
My boyfriend REALLY dislikes it, he hates everything about it, being some sort of plastic with rhinestones.
Luckily I dont share his opinion. :-)
Boyfriends often don't understand our taste ;-)
It is pretty!
Galalith? Does it smell rotten milk when heated?
Kyratango, thanks for lovingand your comments!
Good idea, could indeed be galalith, I forgot about it( have posted galalith earrings long time ago here on cw).
I breastfeed my baby so for the moment almost everything we own smells like milk gone bad ;-)
Thanks aghcollect and sean for the love
Aah! That's why "Mr Mittens" is so good looking :-D
I'm lucky in general my husband/boyfriend share my taste. I like this Galalith bangle and the dots are nice decoration.
