Just bought this a a garage sale and was planning on refinishing it. After looking closer it looks to be hand made and not sure if it would hurt the value refinishing it. Its 28" wide 41" high and 15" deep. Does anyone know how to tell if this is a replica that is fine to refinish or if i should keep it in the original condition? Its put together with small flat head screws and nails and the drawers look to be hand dovetailed. Does any know what age this might be?

I wouldn't refinish it, if I were you. It's a beautiful piece as is. Would definitely clean it up, though.
