      Looks like Sylvac.

Sorry, but this appears to be a "fake", as whilst it has the correct SylvaC model number, it is not marked with an impressed SylvaC stamp.

Thank you for you help, all this time I thought the rabbit was worth something, even though it's a fake, I will still keep it.
      Thanks again

Sorry peeps, if I was a bit brusque. The real value is in the gift. Memories and gestures, are often, much more important than mere monetary values. Enjoy your bunny!!!!!!

No worries verretcheque, I value your opinion and expertise, after all I did want to know more about the rabbit. Being new to this site, I have found the experts very helpful and encouraging.

Sylvac is often unmarked, except for a number, looks very crisp too. Number 1027 should be 8 and one quarter high.

I have one of these in a cream/pink. It stands 9 5/8” tall, has the marking "England" with number "1028" on the bottom. It also has an embossed stamp (pewter colour) with "Made in Great Britain - SylvaC Ware" stuck in the middle of it's back. Would it be authentic? It has been passed down from Great Grandparents (Wilks) through Grandparents through Parents to me.

Michro217, 1028 is the largest size of the Sylvac bunnies, size is correct, pink colour is also correct. I would imagine pink being rarer than the usual green or blue.

If you mean a sticker, then yes, the book dates the oblong shaped 'Made in Great Britain SylvaC ware' sticker to the 1930's.

Thank you for your info tigerchips. I have always thought that it is a classic piece of craftsmanship and I guess then, because it's in mint condition (other than the stamp being a little bit worn) I should take very good care of it and not let the kids play with it.
