I wanted the tapestry but got a couple of surprises when I removed it from the frame it was in.....the lithograph and oil painting was hidden behind it.
2nd pic Lithograph- CHALET DE LONGPONT BY VICTOR PETIT country home.
1st picture Chinese or Japanese Tapestry (which is what I thought I was purchasing) just love the bright colors.
3rd oil painting canvas laid on board ( which she doesn't look like a happy person at all) Signed J. Desel ....well that's what my eyes see any way could be wrong.
Sorry for the pic's taken with cell phone.
Great find 3 for 1
Adore the tapestry, the lithograph is cool, and am enthralled by the oil.
Who is she, what is she thinking?
Well found Melanie.

The lithograph from what I have researched is from around 1850-1860 not my kind of artwork I like to collect but I will find a frame for it.
And the tapestry is just amazing I will post it separately with better pictures so everyone can see the wonderful details.
As far as the female portrait I wonder the same as you......that is the true mystery here....she has a look of despair to me....this painting is kind of haunting....I can't stop looking at her and wondering what was going through her mind....maybe if I figured out who she is and the artist of this painting it would explain all of this....but so far I have found nothing on "J. Desel". This I feel may never be solved. She will also be placed in a new frame.
What a wonderful surprise Melanie! You must have been so excited with your find! Even if you're not crazy about them, the thought of finding something that has been hidden for who know how long must have given you a holy s... moment! Congrats...
Rick55 it was a wonderful surprise ;)
The female is growing on me already but the lithograph well not sure it will ever grow on me ;)
I guess two out of three isn't bad.
Thank you for looking and the comment
The tapestry is Vietnamese. It is the One Pillar Pagoda in Hanoi.
