Silk Fly-Line Tester
Made by the Holland Manufacturing Company in Willimantic, Connecticut.
Patented March 7, 1876.
Measures 7 " long
Connecticut fly fishermen were the elitist in the USA and fished the finest rods and had all the finest made gadgets to go with their fishing ensemble. This line tester is certainly off the charts. Made in very small numbers and sold in tackle shops in the vicinity. This instrument was carefully made and calibrated to test the strength of silk fly lines. Extremely rare and worthy of the finest fly fishing collection.
