    here are 2 small dolls that are about 7 inches tall the legs and arms are not moveable, dressed in Japan style cute faces. one girl one a boy. They only sit but can pick up each, They are not attached to each other. Purchased in Japan in the 1970s. What are they?

      Japanese Bradley doll shelf sitters . Very cute and made for export as decoration more than for playing with .

      The costumes on these dolls are traditional Korean outfits, not Japanese.

      Bradley Import Dolls 1954-1984

      1977 Bradley Glamour Girl doll, 13"
      Bradley Import Company founded in 1954 in Los Angeles, California they imported dolls made in Japan and Korea, also called; Glamour Doll, Big Eyed Girl Dolls, are from 12 to 13" tall, foam with beige nylon over wire body, came in many different long gowns and other accessories and were on a wood stand. The Bradley Import Company was acquired by Hasbro in 1984.

      Dolls were sold through gift shops and possibly catalog companies like Sears or Montgomery Ward. Some Dolls shown © Bradley, Made in Korea 1977. Another later dolls found with a tag that says - Hasbro © Bradley, Made in China 1985 and other similar big eyed cloth wired dolls are by Holiday Faire Inc. Co. 1960s-?, made in Japan.
