Have no earthly idea what these are, what they would be part of or attached to. If anyone can give me some insight it would be greatly appreciated. Only thing I can think of that it might do is pop open a beer bottle .I am pretty sure they are aluminum. No marking on it other than the design and they may be hand forged because they are not exactly alike unless strike/mold is off.
Bottle openers was my guess but ...
Thanks for the love Vetraio50. yeah, just not sure what these are. Maybe a weird shoe horn, lol.
They are almost 8 inches long.
They look like pieces to a show saddle to me.
I looked at bridle pieces and such a while back but could not find the exact shape or figure out how they connect.
Thank you Caperkid! just saw something similar, now I understand.
Hmm if there was just one i would say shoe horn. Let us know if you find out.
Would I be wrong in thinking they are aluminum instead of silver or would it definitely be marked as such?
Not all pices would be marked if it was part of a larger piece. Then again im not an expert.
Grapevines???
They look like grape vines to me eye4beauty.
What size is the opening
1.5 inches in diameter.
And how long
Almost 8.5 inches.
My husband just said it looks like a whine bottle holder, lol. Stick the neck through so sediment stays at the bottom.
Yep ... Single wine bottle stand ?
Thanks for the love racer4four.
Holy shite... it is, the husband nailed it. not the exact pattern but http://www.novica.com/itemdetail/index.cfm?pid=131666
Lol ... Were you not following my comments ???
Yes I saw you post single wine bottle stand after I posted what my husband thought.
You both got it :)
Ha ha ha ha ... Well ... Keeps the cork from drying out ...
Grapevines?
Size of opening?
Length?
I want 51 % here ... Lol
Great solve eyeforbeauty
HAHAHA ok you got it! too funny, thanks for the love. Seriously I would never have thought. I am not a wine girl, just give me a bottle O' booze.
You want them?
Where did you find them.
Goodwill for 50 cents a piece.
That was a fun one ... Thanks for posting ...
Yeah it was Eye4beauty. As the heading says, "clueless". You can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink. I am really slow sometimes. First person to post you want them I will send them to you. I will never use them.
Not an alcohol consumer here, but thanks for the offer ... Now, if you happen to find that elusive Chihuly and do not want it, hmmmmm ...
If I ever got my hands on a Chihuly I would probably have a heart attack. I will put it in my will for you.
I did have 2 Chihuly pieces at one of my estate sales, but the granddaughter of the owner came in and pulled them from the sale.
Of course ... I hear that happens alot
Once in a while. The grandmother didn't care about them and wanted them sold but she talked her into letting her have them.
The lalique pieces this woman had were amazing, 12 pieces. Among them was the Nemours bowl I am in love with.
Wow ... Was the bowl clear or blue ????
It was the clear. I tend to prefer that one over the blue and amber.
Yes ... Lovely bowl ...
these are lovely!!!!
Whomever claims them gets them in the states.
They do come with a bottle of wine each, correct ?
lol eye4beauty, unfortunately not unless you want the half full one in the fridge my husband uses to cook with.
