Although this vase is quite ‘late’ compared to what I normally buy, I just love it! It was made at the ceramics studio run by some of the most renowned German potters, the couple Wilhelm and Elly Kuch. They ran their studio from 1951 to 1990 (after 1990 they chose to work alone without employees). They have won many awards (the first Germans to win the most prestigious ceramics award in Europe, the Faenza Prize, in 1966), they have exhibited their works in many places and their works are displayed in many museums.
They worked very closely together, so it's difficult to tell who made what. But apparently Elly Kuch (1929-2008) was mainly concerned with shape and form, while Wilhelm Kuch (1925-) was responsible for colour and glaze. To me, this vase is perfection - basically, you just want to caress it!
Height: Height: 12.5 cm / 5 in. Mark: the characteristic mark of the Kuch workshop (pic 4).
Beautiful color and shape.
Congrats

Thank you so much, Alan. I bought it only because I liked the shape and colour - it was only later I found out who made it!
Yes, I know, that's the interested part of hunting treasures.
