I was given this by my husbands gran, it is all she had left of a set. On the base it says imperial bone china, with the number one on them both. So pretty but sadly can not find out much more about them. IF any one can help I would be so amazed to find out their history and the age of them. I am now 56 years young, and she gave them to me when I was 25/26. She could not remember where she got them from or anything about them. Bless her. So if any one out there can shed any light on to these items i would be happy to hear from you. I also have a tea pot and a cup and they have imperial bone china V on them, they are more of an off white but unsure if they should be again any thing could help identify them would be good to hear.
    Thank you for reading this

It is likely that Imperial China was a brand of Ridgways.
Ridgway pottery has been made in the Staffordshire district in England since 1808 by a series of companies with the name Ridgway. The transfer-design dinner sets are the most widely known product. Ridgway became part of Royal Doulton in the 1960s.
