It has 1930 scratched into the back with an early stamp on it. Looks as though it was mailed. Remove the backer and the image is in color. Maybe an early cell or display piece?? Help if anybody has seen this or knows what it might be thank you

Whats the 003 in the corner for? Is it cast iron or brass?
003 I would assume is a production run number and is on a sticker underneath that early stamp. The book is a composite/cast back with brass front.
This was more than likely used as an advertising piece for mickey mouse first ever book. The book is rare and I think that this is rare too.
Do you have any direction of where to go to get this appraised ?
Well the booj itself is on ebay for $4500.00. I would try to locate a specialist in antique disneyana and have them appraise it. You might try lofty.com they might be able to help you.
