Green glass vase with tiny "silver colored flicks running throughout. Gold applied design wrapping around vase. Approximately the size of a "water bottle".
I can't find any makers marks or identifying marks on the vase. The vase was a gift over 50 years ago. The owner was told that the "gold" was "real" gold but I haven't found any hallmark.
Interested in seeing if anyone has any further information about the vase. I have no idea of value.
Art deco? Love it!!!!!!!!!
That whiplash is in a style called Jugendstil: pre WWI I think. Quite a few Bohemian factories did work like this. Do you have a pic of the bottom of the piece that might help one of the glass experts give you a Bohemian maker?
Art Nouveau era, Harrach style, Bohemian glass circa 1895 - 1905. The gold is real however there is no longer a precious metal melt down value as the cost to extract would exceed the value of the amount extracted. The gold on it will no longer impact value.
