Hello Friends and visitors. I picked this one just the other day, and it didn't function. Well Doc Tic-Tock took a peek under the hood, the movement doesn't have a problem, as a matter of fact, does keep time relatively good, considering this is simple brass bridge with steel pin pivots movement, produced in Germany in the early 1930's. The basic problem with it not running, is the neatest part of the whole clock...... The dial is celluloid over white paper and the Elf's Arm and Hammer are touching, where the film has buckled up at touch, from the white paper backing came loose from the dial plate..... Well, I decided today wasn't the day to attack this task and put all back together. We'll save that for a snowy, wind blowing day...
But it's day will come...Thanks for looking
Kerry

He is one cool dude ! Love him xoxo
Thank you Mani, lol, he's pretty different, I'm a touch leery of removing the celluloid to replace the paper....but will get brave and make him function again. Thanks again
Oh so SWEET !!!
Oh! Love the shape and 30' style :-)
You will have to be cautious for removing the celluloid sheet... No way to flatten it ?
Thank you:
antiquerose, the complement is appreciated :-)
rlwindle ,
kyratango, I've looked it over very carefully, the white paper behind the film is the issue, it will take some slow and steady work, but I'll have it back in working order..... :-)
