DobbinDee70, I don't know where you are but if you are anywhere near Chickasaw AL, I have one that you're not only welcome to see, you're welcome to help show my wife how to use. It is perfect, has the original manual and about 3 boxes full of attachments.
I got it from my great grandma and have had it in my possession for about 29 years. It was stored before that since 1965 when my family moved to Hong Kong. Before that it sat in the corner of my great grandma's house but I don't think she ever used it very much.
It runs and my wife would love a lesson.

I would love to be able to come see it , but we are too far away . We live in S/W , Missouri . My eyesight is bad and I do not drive out of town by myself . My husband works half days and sometimes has to take off work to take me to my eye specialist in a town some 60 miles away . I would love to be able to show your wife how to use it if I could . However I can write and tell you how to work it . If you can send me a PM I can give you my email address .

I can't see how to send a PM. We do have the entire manual so I don't want you to spend any time writing things out. It was just a thought if you were close by. My wife loves sewing but wanted me to sell the machine because it takes up space without being useful to her. I think I will have to get her in gear and make her learn how it works. :-)
      Thanks just the same

Hi there! Just came across this diamond in the rough. It looks like the picture. I just bought it and know nothing about it. All it says is the Mt Vernon round tag on the right drawer. I did find a #300 underneath the other drawer. Can't find anything on it.

Nyegem76 : It was made by the National sewing machine company . I do not remember the year . It should say National on it someplace on the underside of the machine or along the front edge . On these machines the handwheel turns away from you instead of towards you . I love these machines .

      Sorry. No machine, just cabinet
    9. DobbinDee70, 8 years ago
Well that cabinet was made for the White embossed machine made by the National sewing machine company . As far as I know that is the only machine to come in that cabinet .

Hi can you please tell me what Number is on the manual? I have this machine and table, but no manual or accessories, sadly.
