      There are at least 3 variations of this one known to exist. Extremely rare.

      Looks like a brass barb? I own one and a list (somewhere) of twenty some owners of Phillips Cockleburs. I have seen two with iron barbs and then there is the the single line variety on display in the Cowboy Museum in OK., the one in Autrey Brown's book. The patent claims the barb could be solid or hollow bodied which leads to much speculation on how they where made. Got any theories?

      At one point in time i could account for 35 pieces of this wire! Yes that is correct - 35.

      O i forgot to mention-i have this wire in a four line in case that is pertinent.
