Hello all thanks for taking the time

I needed help identifying this piece as it had been in the family for generations and was originally as we believe brought to the U.S. From Japan during the war.

As we grew up this statute came with the story that it was part of a set of 3 that ended up in some museum in London. When they took the art from Japan.

Any help would be much appreciated.

This is one half of a set of Staffordshire Spaniels. They came in all sizes and everybody had a set. Originally from England, and then I suppose Japan made some--The originals are heavy.
Go to Google and type in "Staffordshire Spaniels set".
