Whilst this looks to be spatter glass it is unlike any other spatter glass piece I have. I've had it several years now and only as I've been able to compare it with other types of spatter glass have I come to think of it as an oddity.

The bowl is a layer of orange cased in a thick layer of clear with the spatter between the two. The colours that appear on the side are not on the base and the green and blue are hazy and diffuse. The soft blue and the sage green themselves are unusually subtle for spatter.

I really love the colour on this piece, and the collar is still there!

Hi Peggy. Ooh Love the colours on this one, yellowww:) I have a rose bowl the same shape as this, I think, I can't compare their rims because of the collar. I used to have it posted here but must have deleted it in one of my 'clean ups'. I'll email you a photo. Mine has a soft, matte like finish to the outside & wondered if yours has too? It looks like it in the photos.

Hi, Fran, this one is glossy. However I do have one that I think is the twin of yours ...... I'll send photos.

Hi Peggy. I've been going through your posts tonight trying to identify something that has popped up at my house. I will post it soon.
I just wanted to say that looking at all your glass I am amazed at your collection. I guess because I have seen it bit by bit I didn't realise the scope and beauty of it all.
      Incredible. Congratulations!

Hi Karen, I'm looking forward to the mystery item and thank you for the wonderful compliment. I hope to remedy my neglect shortly, mea culpa.
