I found this item in an area adjacent to one of the California missions that was later a farm and also used by the US Army during WW II. Hoping someone out there can help identify.
This resembles a surgical scissors with short blades and blunt tip. At the ends of the blades are small posts to which steel bands are attached, and also at the hinge point. Seems like these bands would have been replaceable and functioned to grasp whatever was being cut.
Don't cut your big sisters Bangs off with these cool old sisors or you'll get in big trouble from mom! Remember the last time u tried that when u were practicing to be a barber!
Sis would have decked me had I come after her with these things...! Thanks for the loves walksoftly, aghcollect, Rattletrap - any ideas?
California would be the ideal place to find them especially near wineries. they are grape shears used for cutting stalk but not hurting the fruit. I have a cousin in Sausalito.
