I found this 4-5 inch spoon at a junk store years ago and I was captivated by it. It seems to have some Egyptian influence, maybe. There are wings on the back and front, a figure of a person on the handle wearing a crown, a forked branch in the bowl with either flowers or clovers on it. The very top of the handle has a swastika symbol. The back has a raised cross symbol, then W.R. and then another symbol, could be a jar or an arrowhead. Just curious about it.

The maker is William Rogers Limited from New York & Connecticut. The W.R. keystone mark was used on medium grade hollow ware and half plate flatware. Mark was used approximately 1894 to 1929 when sold to Oneida. These were "Good Luck" spoons and the swastika is a good fortune symbol and prior to a Nazi association.
