Rattletrap

While on a nice Sunday afternoon ride with my wife, we ran across this old Farm Pump just a few miles away from home. It never ceases to amaze me how many old Gas Pumps are still out there hooked up to their underground tanks. Of course we are negotiating the purchase of the pump for the museum Collection at aaaLakeside Storage down the road a piece. Keep on hunting as the fun is in the Hunt!
That would be another nice one to add to your collection! Good luck on getting it!

Official fuel,
Yup! We're working on it. Not always easy to convince these old farmers to let go of stuff they've had for 50 yrs.
Yep Rattletrap, good luck, I've been turned down several times, but lost out on a couple awesome pumps I tried to get but someone else got them!
EJW,
They say "you can't get em all" and that is correct, but we, like you, hate missing out on any "find" and especially if it's close to home. This pump is in a family Trust left to a bunch of adult kids & I have to deal with each of them individually. The pump is worth $300-$400 max and it's hard to divide that up between 6 siblings and get cooperation. None need the money as it's not enough to matter to any of them. Creativity will be needed once more!!! Any ideas?
No great ideas, but I just tell them the truth," I love old pumps, I fix them up, light it up and enjoy them every day" I also talk about the old days and some times that helps me to get a pump but also have had to spend more then I wanted to get one, I paid up to $500 for a rusty pump, of course that depends on what model pump as some are worth $1200.
EJW,
Thx for the suggestions. Will do our best & report back as things progress.
