This is a very unique piece of hand thrown pottery depicting a beautiful woman's face and hair decorated with beads and a necklace. The pottery is signed SNINSKY. I really like the aesthetics of the piece, the layered textures give it depth. The size is approximately 5 1/4 x 4 3/4. I really would appreciate help in finding out something about the potter.

Don't know the potter. Nice "folk -art" piece.

Was playing on line and came across this. Not sure if you are still connected and i just signed up to answer. This piece was made by my Mother Anna Marie Sninsky from the Pittsburgh. Pa area. She died about the time this was posted. She was a fabulous artist and not only made pottery but did Batik and Acrylic Painting. She sold her pottery as fast as she could make. She probably made this in the 70s. She would appreciate you enjoying this. Where did you get this?
