Guess what I found in the attic? I found this Telechron wooden electric alarm clock. The cord is cut off - for what reason, I don't know! It looks in great shape. It has the number 327 engraved on the bottom, if that means anything. I do not know anything about it. I don't even know where it came from! Anyone?? Thank you :)

In 1912, Henry Warren initially named his company "The Warren Clock Company." It became "Warren Telechron" in 1926. As early as 1917, General Electric acquired a strong interest in Telechron, realizing the economic potential of Warren's invention. When Warren retired in 1943, General Electric gradually absorbed Telechron into its operations. The clocks labeled "Telechron" on the dial, as well as those labeled "General Electric" were both made in the Ashland, Massachusetts factory. GE clocks had their own case, dial and hand designs, as well as model names and numbers, but the internal workings of both brands of clock were always the same Telechron type of movement.

You're too funny Zowie! It's amazing how you forget what you have until it's time to move! If I posted even half the things I have here, I would be on the computer all day. It's overwhelming to say the least! Thank you for your funny comment and your love! :)

      Hi
Nice clock, it is french style clock.
Don't attach wire for it because risk of electric shock, there is maybe ungrounded wire.

What an interesting post and Beautiful clock. Can I join Zowie for a rummage in your attic? I don't have one either but do have cupboards of cardboard boxes full of things I've forgotten about.

Haha!! Thanks Vintagefran!! I would love to have someone go through my attic - but I think you live too far away!! You never know what you may find in one of those boxes in your cupboard! I still have more to go through... my goal is to have it done by Labor Day weekend! Thanks for your love :)
