Janis, 14 years ago My sister and I found one of these in the basement of our parents house. We do not know if it is worth anything or not - can you tell us if it is a collectible and what it might be worth. We came across so many beer bottles from the 30's, 40's, and 50's on my Dad's bar. Some of the bottles have never been opened. I am having a problem finding any information on them. Do you have any idea where I could get help in getting information on old beer bottles? Thank you.
Dennis, 14 years ago Going to a book store and buying a book on bottles is a good way, doing web searches for bottles is another good way, The bottle you have listed doesn't look very old in the picture, but I can tell you bottles that have an Applied Color Label (A.C.L) are no older than the 40's, as that was when they started those, bottles that are embossed. meaning the information on the bottle is stamped in the glass, early to pre 40's, bottles with a lot of seed bubbles in them, are indicative of pre-20's glass.
Mike, 14 years ago I have a bottle of this, unopened. It is at least 50 years old. Not sure what it is worth.

TC12, 11 years ago Nice bottle! I found a fragment of one of these recently -- a majority of the bottle's face with the logo -- outside a century-old gold mining town in the desert. After researching it, these particular ginger beer bottles appear to date to the early 1950s.
