My antique and at fix for this week and at $15 was a very good buy. It took a bit to research as the box says "Columbia Company Sheffield". It is actually the Marvill Regan Company as it says on the blade. Under that is says "Columbia Works Sheffield". Which seems to be an unofficial name. I was thinking this was 1920s or 1930s but is actually 1860s.
The knife and the fork are made from weapon grade material and not stainless steel. Possibly Damascus steel. Some sort of carbon steel at least.
The handles are made from cattle bones according to what I could find. Slight chance it could be ivory.
A neat feature is the prong which can be extended from the fork. I saw a similar piece where this was used to prop up the knife.
The knife with handle is 13" long. The fork is 9 1/2" long.

I remember my father using a carving knife and fork on a Sunday roast and the 'prong' was used to hold the meat and stop the fork going in too far when the meat was being sliced.
