Like my previous example there are clear feet beneath the ribbed balls. This time the three clear feet are leaf shaped and the ribbing extends all over the vase. The rim is the shape of a running track.....a surprise to me when it arrived.

The last picture shows it with a Welz basket in the same décor.

IMHO, a serious claim that these are Harrachov is comical, and surely not one I find shocking. It is a claim which appears to be without merit, unsupported by any known documentation, and seemingly based on a continuing effort by a diminishing number of people to undermine Welz attributions and research in this forum and others.

I assume the reference to literature and design stems from the following examples posted in CW, and some other similar un-posted examples. Please do let me know if this assumption on my part is incorrect. I would not want to appear to be blatantly undermining the validity of an attribution stated by someone else, and doing it unfairly.

      http://www.collectorsweekly.com/stories/145681-harrachov-inkwell-and-matching-paperweig

The comparison of a solid, clear glass, smooth surface three ball foot design made by Harrach, to the Welz ball foot which is both hollow and always ribbed, at least to me, is completely absurd. Especially when used to form and support an opinion regarding an attribution for the ribbed ball foot production. The two designs are apples and oranges.... if even that close. More like apples and bowling balls....

The design of ribbed ball foot shown in this post can be found on pieces in extremely unique décors which are firmly linked to Welz production. Some of the shapes shapes and décors are found in known Welz production Literature.

Harrachov?? Surely you jest!! But thanks..... I needed a good laugh....

If that is the attribution link-- an eyeball recalibration needs to be scheduled!

I have prepared an image linking the foot of this vase directly to Welz, for those that may not be familiar. This link is simply one of many I could put together supporting the assertion that this foot design is Welz production.

I think it is important if one is stating an attribution, to also support it with some sort of evidence. Anyone can make assertions as to what they "have" and their conclusions as a result of it, but showing support for those types of statements is pretty important if one would like to be taken seriously.
