I bought this Theodore Haviland Limoges demitasse cup and saucer way back in 1989 when I was in my 20's, working at one of my first jobs.....I grew up always wanting to collect antique china and glass and this was one of my first purchases. I bought it in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. I wish I knew just how old it is, as I have no idea when it was made. I also am wondering if it is called a demitasse cup and saucer as I cannot find anything like it on the internet. It has travelled all over Canada with me , along with all my other finds ! The cup is quite dainty and small, about 2 inches high and about 2 to 2 1/2 inches round. The rectangular tray is about 5 to 6 inches across. The gold gilt is perfect, as is the condition. It is in absolutely perfect condition, looking like it has just come out of the factory. No cracks, no crazing, no marks. I absolutely love looking at it ! My late mom taught me the love of antiques so it gives me a wonderful feeling and makes me think of her.
The Haviland France mark is 1894 - 1931. This is the manufacturer.
The shield mark is 1936 - 1945. This is the TH blank.
The Theodore Haviland Limoges France mark is 1925. This is the decorator mark.
So basically your set makes no sense, lol.
