Lamp has been in my family for 60+years. Bottom and woman bust feels like iron. Globe is not original to lamp. Bottom of lamp looks like it says PAT PEND and either DOR or FOR. Would love to know more about this lamb as I have not been able to find anything close to it.
It would say Pat. Pending -Patent Applied For. This lamp was made by the Bradley & Hubbard Mfg. Co. of Meriden, Conn., USA circa 1883-1884. They did not give names for their lamps but this one is their model # 1470 B. The base is cast Iron and the figure is made of Spelter (White Metal). I can't see the burner too well but it looks old and appropriate for the lamp. The lamp is a nice example of B&H's Stand (table) Lamps. RER(BOB)
The only item that is not original on lamp is the chimney. Thank for all the information LOUMANAL.
