This table came from my great aunt's house on Cape Cod. She had a room that overlooked the ocean with this table snuggled cleverly into the built-in bookcase at the back of the room. As kids we used to play with wooden blocks at the table. I never knew until recently that it actually has 4 drawers. Does anyone know it's vintage and where it might have been made? I can't find any information on the table. My father thought it was probably made in Boston around 1900. Oh, the legs and the magazine rack come apart from the table to make it easy to move.

It is Empire revival, American and your grandfather got it pretty much right.

Thank you bladerunner. How ever did you know it was empire revival? I looked everywhere on the web for one similar and couldn't find anything that looked like it. Do you know if it was a fairly common piece of furniture in those days? Where have they all gone? Hope to hear your comments.
