    II've had this 14k pocket watch for over 25 years, my mother had it 10 years she brought it at a yard sale. I think its so old it was made before they started engraving the movement area.can you tell me what watchmaker made this watch. Watch face named MAGNOLIA movement #322158

      I might be totally off base, but Bulova made a Magnolia wristwatch so would put you in mind they might have done same in pocket watch form...the # you said on movement in Bulova watch would date approx. 1926.
      Again, this is an assumption on my part, but might give you point of research.

      Is the gold filled case or dust cover marked in any way (besides service scribed numbers).

      TubeAmp, Actually it has a 14K stamp inside the case, and there are numbers inside the case, that verifies, the maker

      Please show the marks. I can see where the case has pitting which has green corrosion because the base metal is exposed. (And the movement is of low quality, not sure any manufacturers would put it in a gold case).

      @Kerry perhaps a Swiss Fake?

      @ T A, very possible Swiss Fake, as you noted, the movement is low quality as only 1 jewel set on the balance is seen, the pins showing through the bridge make note, no other jeweled sets. With these points of reference, strong possibility.
      I have no reference material on grade or caliber on early Bulova's to see if they produced any low quality "Dollar" watch, but I doubt they did. So I would agree with your assessment

      Thanks you very much for your information..TubeAmp and Kerry10456, I took a picture of the inside of the case, I had to cover the movement area, because of the reflection from the movement area to get a useable picture.
