I have an old coin I was hoping someone could help me identify. I'm more of a stamp collector myself so I don't know much about coins.

Looks maybe silver. Have you cleaned it? I'm not a real coin collector either, but have a small collection of Roman coins. This doesn't seem to match any of my research of those, so thinking maybe Greek, Persian etc. In other words, I have no idea & hoping somebody here on CyberAsylum comes up with an answer. Have the interest, - just not the knowledge.

It's actually black in color. Not sure why it looks silverish... Maybe the lighting. The pictures didn't load right so both are sideways... I'm hoping so too!

Silver turns black, but copper also can turn really dark. Hang in there, maybe somebody here with more knowledge will come up with an answer. Hope so, as I'm really curious.
