This pair of salt and pepper shakers were made by Jeannette Glass from 1931-1933. The pattern has a saw tooth or tiled pattern. The pattern even goes on the underside of the base.
They are about 4" tall.
It is an attractive pattern and also available in green. Will be keeping an eye out for more of this pattern.
This pattern is often called Pinwheel although that is an unofficial name.

I think this pair was $15 but I think they are worth $30. Yes I would let someone else clean them. Some people like the various looks that come with age. You can take it off but you can't put it back on.
