Deano
(305 items)
My latest acquisition, a cased, ruffled, ribbed Spatter Glass vase. Estate sale find. Primary colors, White, Green and Pink. Secondary color, Blue. Probably nothing to write home about, but we like it. Thanks.
Identified as a French Legras, Corneille vase, circa 1898, possible range of 1890 - 1910. I got a lot of input on this, my belated thanks to all.
What a beauty:)
Pink and green...so pretty Deano. Nice make.

Deano, your vase is most probably French, by Legras, and dates to about 1890-1910 or so. They did a lot of spatter glass vases in this style and color, often two colors, alternating in quarters. Pretty! :)
Hey, I quickly looked through some of my Legras catalogs and found something interesting - an image of your vase in the 1898 Legras catalog. :) I uploaded it here for you to see: http://s1244.photobucket.com/user/michelle_b007/media/legras%201998_Corneille%20vase.jpg.html?filtersuser=128741340&filtersrecent=1&sort=1&o=0 It is in a different colorway, but the same form - the 'Corneille' vase #3238.
(You might want to add your post to the French art glass forum, too.) :)
Hi Michelle, I thought it was a nice vase, but I never expected this. It's still sinking in. I'm going to do a new post with the correct information. I'll make sure it's in the French category. I can't thank you enough for the info. It's very surprising.
Updated as a French Legras Corneille vase from late 1800's. Thanks to all for the help.
