Came across this old massive carved desk. Dimensions are 5'5" wide. 2'11" deep and 2'7" tall. Old dovetails joints, slotted screws. No makers mark. Need to replace bottom of center drawer and repair face of center drawer. Don't know anything about desk age, origin, type of wood etc. Anything info would help. Desk has unique shape.
Approx 1950, Chippendale revival style. The carving on the top of the legs is quite shallow, made to appear at first glance older by the width of the top of leg. Older and better desks had heavy carving to the top of legs.
