Why would one buy a really tiny tango (about 3.5'' x 3.5'') from an auction house, where just shipping, handling and fees may exceed its value? Well, for four different reasons:
a) precisely because it is so tiny, a rare size for a box
b) because it is iridescent like the Ausf. 224
c) because it is in perfect condition and elegantly shaped
d) because it is one of the rarest color combinations, golden yellow with jade green.
And of course because it is Loetz.

lovely David...hope you are well :)
this is a very soft iridescence, almost satin- like Welz does on some pieces. Beautiful piece of loetz I just wanted to differentiate the mat-sheen effect not to me confused with flash tango pieces that have those blackberry details... thanx andy
