My parents purchased this table in the 1960's in Mexico. Their table was used as a coffee table for years. I was told it was designed for the caballeros or cowboys to put hot coals in the pit to warm their feet after a long ride or hard days work. The cowboys would sit around the table and put their feet up to rest and get warm.

The table is hand carved wood with wrought iron hardware.

    Table size:
    - Diameter - 54 inches
    - Height - 16 inches
