small table. I have no idea what it is. Can someone help, please?

I just think it is beautiful and interesting. I have no idea how old it is, and what it is. I have searched, and cannot find anything like it. NO markings at all. I cannot find any nails in it. There is glue underneath, but obviously by a previous owner since it is globed on in a crack in the rectangle top. I purchased at a garage sale. It is about 4 feet tall and the top is about 18 X 24 inches.

Any help would be appreciated.
