Picked up at auction today, floor lamp.

I got this at an auction today and am trying to find some info on it. It is a Colonial premier no. 1099. Searching the web I have not been able to find this lamp. It does seem to be in good condition but I think I will rewire before I plug it in. I think it is painted gold, not sure if it came from the factory this way. If it does not hurt it I would like to repaint it. Thanks for any info.
