Hi, it's a British "Neophone" virtually identical to the GPO model No 162 telephone which dates it between late 1930's and early 1940's. It would have needed a Bakelite bell set No 25 to ring. As back then the telephone instrument and bell set were separate items.

Back in the 1930's it would not have needed a dial as it would have been connected to a manual telephone exchange. You would have just pick up the phone and talked to an operator who would have manually connected you to the person you wanted to talk to. My guess at value would be arround £100 GBP if the Bakelite is undamaged.
