I love these clip earrings but the clips are so strong that they aren't as fun to wear as they are to look at. Got them at a flea market. I believe they are from 1945-50 time period. Signed Eisenberg on the back.

Tight clips problem is easy to repair: use small pliers (preferably with rubber covered tips to avoid scratching, or wrap the ends with sticky tape) and gently bend the stationary part of the clip away from the earring just a tiny bit. That should help.

I will have to remember the tips you were given it sounds like a good idea not to scratch the item & it's something I will be able to use in the future.

There are small disc shaped foamy like pieces of plastic that are specially made to buffer the earrings on the ear. I would be very apprehensive to bend any part of the clip. If you just can't wear them as earrings use one of them as a dress clip, or put the two on side by side, or perhaps close together on the collar of a blouse. Or the lapel of a jacket.
They're lovely earrings, sparkly and bright.
