These ceramic figures are 2 3/4" high and signed "Muriel originals". I haven't been able to find more information on them, have searched through hundreds of photos of Josef Originals figurines and found nothing
I have a set from my mother-in-law who used to travel to Michigan for the tulip festivals. I believe they were made by Muriel Cross for a local gift shop . She signed her works "Muriel Orig."
These are mentioned in her obituary (from the Record-Eagle)
"Her first shop opened in Beulah on U.S. 31 in 1947. Before long, she was well known as the artist who made ceramic angels playing the various instruments in an "angel orchestra," which were a favorite item at the Music Box in Interlochen. "
I have a full set. Just put them out for Xmas. They were my mom's and I got them when she died. Our family had a cottage on Crystal Lake--in Beulah. I swear I remember going into Muriel's shop with my mom as a young girl.
