Picked up this repro sign because I used to eat at this McDonalds when I was a kid in the 60s. It is located in Downey, California at the corner of Florence and Lakewood.
In 1996 the owners were going to tear it down and make it a modern McDonalds. Luckily they were able to preserve. Good thing as that sign (photo #3) is one of the greatest signs ever.

very cool that they saved the original, i can remember when there were still alot of micky-d's around with the big double arches, really miss those days.........
Think you very much motelmark. There is another in Pomono that is a donut shop now. I'll photograph it next time I go to the antiques malls there.
HI
Can someone help me?I have an old porcelan sign opel fahre 1914.I can sand a picture?I want to know what it's worth.
Thank you!
You can post your sign on this site. We are not supposed to ask for appraisals here but vintage porcelain signs tend to be quite valuable. A couple, to several hundred dollars. More if it is quite large.
Thank you!:)
i posted on my profile picture, can you see it?
I can see it but why don't you just make a post? Just click on the "post an Item" next to the search window. You can post up to 4 pictures. It is very easy.
Thank you very much Brunswick. Even I could afford to eat there with my 25 cents a week allowance.
