Back again... Dave (pw-collector) mentioned one of my other post that supports the single(1) jewel mechanical movements. This is another one I just happen to have, This watch was produced for Rexall Brand name produces in 1910 by Ingersoll .
Rexall is a chain of North American drugstores, and the name of their store-branded products. The stores, having roots in the federation of United Drug Stores starting in 1902, licensed the Rexall brand name.In 1902, Louis K. Liggett persuaded 40 independent drug stores to invest $4,000 in a retailers' cooperative called United Drug Stores, which sold products under the Rexall name.
Thanks for looking at yet another "Advertisement Dollar" style pocket watches
Kerry
Kerry, your Rexall is a few years (4-5) older than mine, and again, mine is not jeweled. I'm not sure if I have any jeweled Ingersoll watches.
Dave
Thank you FortApache and Dave for looking in, very appreciated!!
@Dave, I've only seen a handful of the jeweled Ingersoll's and all of those were early 1900's, with the exception of the Reliance & Waterbury, which both are 7 jewel
Kerry, I wasn't thinking about the Reliance & Waterbury which I have several of.
Dave
Dave, I knew that, it just dawned on me as I was typing so just added for reference...The "singles" must been short lived, but was excellent idea for dirt and grime issues....Bradley adopted the idea in the early 1970's and sold tons of them
