    Hi again ... Ive had this now for about 7 years. You put a canlde behind the magnifying glass and you can actually move the lens to direct the light brighter wear you need it. I saw before doctors used similar ones in their practices in the "olden days". I do not know how old this one is nor where it was manufactured etc. It was one of those coll things I found at a estate sale and thought might come in handy when the power is out.

      The material seems to be wrought iron, and the style/iron work is a bit reminiscent of italian/tuscan styles. As for the age, I really don't know.
