This is 13 inches that expands to about 21 inches. It has a marking (see picture) but I can't make it out. It looks like some kind of telescopic Antique screwdriver. It is made of wood and metal. Please help!

Can anyone tell me the name of the tool co that made this?

looks to me like a "Yankee" screwdriver. You push the handle and drives and internal screw mechanism so you don't need to turn your wrist. It spun faster than you could do it manually.

Hello "Sodi143" May I ask a favor of you, in the interest of us old tool collectors? Would you make another attempt to unveil the trademark logo on your tool? This can be done in many ways, but, I would start with soap and a brush, then if that does not work, try a bit of white chalk across the top of the triangle high points. A pencil eraser is also a good tool. Also, if you would be so kind, take a photo of your tool fully extended, and post it with the readable logo. This will help in determining the age of your tool, and who made it. Thanks

      Hi Frisco,
I'm sorry for not getting back to you sooner. I tried the eraser trick and that helped some. What I got was The middle of the triangle says CANSO ,The top part says:best test, the bottom of triangle says: registered pat applied for. I hope you can solve this for me! Thanks!

Looks like a diamond shape where the mark would be. Are you sure it doesn't say PANCO? There was and or is a company named PANCO Diamond that made tools. I think I have a push drill made by them I inherited years ago.
