getout
(1 item)
My dad bought this many years ago, he was told it was hammered from a piece of silver by monks. I find that hard to believe because it doesn't have a lot of weight to it. Only markings I find on it is JHS. Awesome depth & detail. Can't seem to find anything exactly like it on the net. Any info would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
Looks like the Last Supper front a different angle ... The Portuguese do this type of thing in tin ... Pewter.
JHS were (are?) an Italian company that makes religious items from pewter.
Most of it seems to date from the 70s-90s, and includes larger works like this and smaller items like crucifixes and pewter saints mounted on blue velvet.
