Got this from a church Thrift Store. Made with a blue tinted glass. Has Gold Gilding everywhere. I'm left with a question. On the side of the bell, between the enameled flowers and the gold gilded stripes, there are some areas of shaped "roughness". In the working world, I would call it "nonskid", that's exactly what it feels like. Anyone know about these? Also, for a decanter, this has the largest opening I've ever seen, 45mm. Does that make this a vase? All insight is greatly appreciated.
    The vessel is 257mm/10" tall.
    Thanks for looking.
Huge thanks to OzMarty for the insightful suggestion that this is indeed a "Hooka Base". Found a number of Bohamian examples with the exact same shape and some in the same color. Thanks to Marty, I appreciate it.

Your non skid (I'm adopting that term now!) area is probably an acid etched motif to fill in that space so it doesn't look too bare. I think it balances the design well.

This is a Glassexport label from the 1950s-70s or later and probably made by one of Borské Sklo in Novy Bor.

I think it is a Hooka base??

Huge thanks to IanBrighton and OzMarty for the excellent comments. In the case of OzMarty, I did some research since you posted and found an identically shaped Hookah Base, only difference was the Gilding and design. Can't thank you enough for the tip. I appreciate it.

1950's-60's label, not seventies. Borské Sklo until 1974, then Crystalex. So old Hantich works, which were rebuilt in 1967.

This is a decanter, not a "hookah base". These are mislabeled this way all over the internet.
